Poem:Dare to Dream, Dare to Live
But now as we both as we both cascade down into this dreaded place, You look at me and we somehow awake. This dream we had will never fade; The ending clear, and the beginning unmade. I hold your hand close to my heart; As you pull me close I fell sparks. I’ve never felt so completely complete. I hold your body next to me, But never had I thought you’d turn and leave. I’m hoping you would say you made a mistake… A mistake when you said she shares your dreams. The dreams you never told to me, About those wide open roads, And empty skies. I can’t even make believe that you were only faking. Please…please don’t let me let me drown in my own blood and tears, And waste away upon dreams and fears. I guess the dream was never done, But now the beginning has become. |
Dedication:Mom,
I know after reading this poem you’re probably like “what does this have to do with me.” I would ask the same question if I were you, but in the end it does have to do with you. You helped me in a way create this story to be told. You helped me not be afraid of the nightmare side of dreams. The side that not many people want to talk about because it may be confusing or scary to them. This poem is manly about being happy, and then finding out that happiness may not be what you thought. You always taught me to not to get caught up in the details, but to just live my life. You also taught me to not think so much but do, and that lesson really came in handy in this situation, and the writing of this poem. So once again I say thank you. |
